EraPlane collects as little as a game can, and this page says exactly what that is. There are no accounts and no sign-in, so there is nothing about you to hold.
What the game sends
While you play, the game sends small anonymous gameplay events to our analytics service so we can see how the game is going: how long sessions last, at which tier players die, how often an upgrade is taken. Each event is a name and a few numbers. In detail:
- A session id: 32 random characters made fresh every time the page loads, kept nowhere, on this device or anywhere else. It ties one session's events together and nothing else.
- The game's version, and which site or portal the game is running on.
- Gameplay events, as numbers only: a spawn, a death and its tier, an upgrade, a kill, a repair used, a revive offered or taken, a hangar colour chosen.
No name or callsign is sent. No email, no IP address, no user agent and no cookie is read or stored by the analytics service. The service runs on Cloudflare Workers with a Cloudflare D1 database, in our own account. There is no third-party analytics of any kind.
What stays on your device
Your callsign, your best runs, the aircraft you have flown, your colours, your stock of repairs and your settings are saved in your browser's local storage, on your device only. They never leave it. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes them.
Ads
On eraplane.io, ads are served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies and the Google advertising ID to serve and measure them. Google's use of that data is described in Google's ad and content network privacy policy at policies.google.com/technologies/ads, and you can manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. Ads appear only on the menu screens, never during play.
Where EraPlane is played on a games portal rather than on eraplane.io, the portal serves the ads and the portal's own privacy policy applies to them.
